We are creating a new community park in Sandy at the Community Campus. This park will feature a shelter, restrooms, walking path, skate park, pump track, and a playground.
One of the main elements will be the playground. We've worked hard to make sure this new playground is unique and has something for every user.
The Sandy Community Campus Park Play Area Concept is filled with imaginative, engaging and challenging play opportunities appropriate for kids of all ages and abilities. The proposed design is a direct response to City-wide online surveys and open houses where most residents expressed a desire for a combination of nature play and standard equipment with features that emphasized inclusivity. The play area provides opportunities that inspire kids’ creativity and offer challenging and engaging play opportunities. Elements such as a hillside slide with a boulder scramble, a timber parkour course, swings, a large climbing boulder and a spinning dome will keep kids coming back again and again. Additionally, within Sandy’s parks and open space system, the play features found in this design are unique to The Community Campus Park.
